Painting and drawing are central to Angela’s practice and allow her to explore the space between fact and fiction. She is interested in the possibilities of narrative and invoking atmosphere and emotion.
Her paintings are rarely portraits, but more hybrid figures layered with emotion, experience, and imaginings. The figures exist in another world, but are touched with human spirit and nature.
Angela sees making paintings as a form of story telling and making sense of something deep inside, whilst hopefully creating something that others find pleasure and meaning from.
