The Wimbledon Group

Artist Collective

The Wimbledon Group is a collective of artists based at Wimbledon Art Studios. They are pleased to present the opening of an entirely free POP UP exhibition on the Upper Level of Centre Court Shopping Centre in the heart of Wimbledon.

As many art exhibitions and fairs have been cancelled, this is a great opportunity for The Wimbledon Group to showcase their recent work and for potential buyers to meet the artists and see the work in person.

Spring Exhibition

I am pleased to announce the opening of our Spring exhibition at Centre Court.

The gallery has a fresh new look and now features two guest artists: Alanna Eakin and Paul Trussell.

Alanna graduated with a BA in Fine Art at Central Saint Martin’s London. Her work is concerned with themes of nature, escapism and nostalgia.

She collects references from travels to exotic places and childhood memories. Imagination, memory and imagery allow her to translate a dream-like scenario by playing with colour, light and form.

Paul has been an actor for 35 years appearing in theatre, television and films, including plays at The Old Vic, television episodes of Sharpe and Minder and the films Life is Sweet and The Kings Speech.

He has recently shifted his focus to developing a professional career as an artist. His work explores our judgement of self and others and each picture appears like a souvenir or diary entry recording a journey towards self-acceptance.

The Artist Collective gallery showcases cartoons, ceramics, drawings, paintings, printmaking, sculpture and a range of limited edition prints.

The Spring exhibition was curated by Damian Woodford, Jill Sutcliffe and Sarah Ollerenshaw.
